Australia Secures Multiple Officiating Appointments for 2026 Women’s World Championships

Lacrosse Australia has welcomed the selection of multiple Australian officials and technical delegates for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championships, highlighting the nation’s growing influence across the international officiating landscape. 

Appointments span both the premier Women’s Championship in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 July to 2 August, and the Division II Championship in Wroclaw, Poland, from 11 to 18 July. 

At the Tokyo championship, Amy Basile, Nicole Voysey and Tammy Varga have been selected as officials, with Kellie Morley appointed as Technical Delegate. The event will bring together the world’s leading nations in women’s field lacrosse. 

Australia will also be strongly represented at the Division II Championship in Poland, with Julie Ames and Stephanie Allen selected as officials. Amy Basile and Tammy Varga will take on additional responsibilities as Technical Delegates for the tournament. 

Tim Kennedy, Lacrosse Australia National Technical Committee member, said the appointments recognise the strength and experience of Australian officials on the global stage. 

“These selections reflect the quality and credibility of Australian officials internationally. To have representation across both championships, including in technical delegate roles, is a strong endorsement of the expertise we have within the Australian lacrosse community,” he said. 

“Officials play a critical role in the performance and integrity of international competition, and it is pleasing to see Australians continuing to be trusted in these positions at the highest level.” 

The appointments come as World Lacrosse continues to strengthen its global officiating pathways, with selection based on performance, experience and international readiness.
