2022 Senior and U18 National Events Update
LA is pleased to announce the final dates and teams competing at the 2022 Senior and U18 Nationals. It has been a long time waiting for national events to return and our Senior National will be the first event in over two years.
Senior Nationals – 8-12 June – Footscray Lacrosse Club
The 2022 Senior Nationals will see 11 teams compete in the event which will run from the 8th to the 12th of June.
Making up the Women’s Teams are: WA, SA, VIC, QLD and the New Zealand Women’s Team. For the Men’s Competition teams competing are: WA, SA VIC, NSW, QLD and the U21 Australian Men’s Team.
Lacrosse Australia is excited to host the Senior Nationals at Footscray Lacrosse Club (FLC). In 2019 FLC put on an amazing event when they host the Senior Nationals and they have been busy planning for the 2022 event since last year. LA extends our thanks to FLC for their engagement, commitment and professionalism in planning to deliver a spectacular event.
U18 Nationals – 7-10 July – Brighton Lacrosse Club
The 2022 U18 Nationals will see 8 teams compete in the event which will run from the 7th to the 10th of July.
Making the Women’s Teams are: WA, SA, VIC and New Zealand. For the Men’s Competition teams competing are: WA, SA VIC and New Zealand.
This event was postponed from the usual April Easter holiday window to the July school holiday period for 2022. School holidays do not align perfectly across all states and to enable the event to go ahead LA will be working with host Brighton Lacrosse Club (BLC) to hold a mixture of morning, mid-afternoon and potentially evening games to lessen the impact on school commitments over the first two days of the event. We are thrilled to be working with BLC and their volunteers, utilising their new club facilities, to deliver the 2022 U18 Event.
